Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for a 1st shift Weekend position (Friday-Sunday, 6am-6pm). The role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues with production, quality, and inspection equipment, and includes moving and positioning equipment to ensure proper operation. The mechanic will also participate in continuous improvement activities, implementing machine and program modifications, and troubleshoot and repair PLC, PC, NC, and CNC controls. Electrical work and basic mechanical installations and repairs throughout the facility are also part of this role.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery or equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment.

• Listen for unusual sounds from machinery to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with managers to diagnose problems or repair equipment.

• Dismantle defective machines and equipment, install new or repaired parts following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand or power tools.

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.

• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

• Repair and maintain physical structure.

• Install new equipment and machinery according to blueprints and specifications.

• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment using programmable controllers.

• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

• Fabricate and repair benches, partitions, or other wooden structures.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the manufacturing facility, utilizing PM software for updating data.

Essential Skills

• CNC Machine Repair

• PLC Troubleshooting and repair

• Ability to identify electrical issues and perform repairs

• Hydraulics/pneumatics expertise

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLC systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $74880.00/yr.
