Details Work in a busy Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds Patient ratios of 1:4 in general ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 in cardiac/trauma cases Uses Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers Charts in MEDITECH EMR 13-week contract assignment with a 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM shift Rotating weekend requirement No on-call requirements Performs procedures including splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS CPI certification required for ER placement No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start MEDITECH experience preferred Trauma experience preferred Holding inpatient experience preferred No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care across general ED, behavioral health, and cardiac/trauma patient populations Collaborate with a care team that includes PCTs, a paramedic, and an LVN on each shift Must be a strong multitasker, team player, and self-starter Navy blue scrubs required for RNs Must follow all established facility policies and guidelines Unit has an active Unit-Based Council and Social Committee Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers may be considered for this role American Traveler Job ID P-747179.
