As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.43 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific requirements, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security‑related observations. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
