The Position Treeswift is looking for a reliable, hands‑on Hardware Repair technician based in San Francisco to keep our hardware running in the real world. You'll be the person on the ground — diagnosing issues, making repairs, and ensuring our devices perform at their best wherever they're deployed. What You’ll Do Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems (LiDAR, sensors, cameras, power units) Visit PG&E offices across California to retrieve, assess, and return devices Follow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they escalated Communicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer‑facing capacity Coordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field feedback Who You Are You are comfortable working independently in the field and representing Treeswift with customers You have hands‑on experience with tools and electronics You’re detail‑oriented and methodical — you follow a process and don’t cut corners You’re a strong communicator — you're comfortable communicating with customers on site and relaying clear information back to the team Based in San Francisco with personal vehicle and a consistent record of dependability/punctuality Experience with soldering, hardware diagnostics, or electronics repair is a plus What We Value Mission first.
