Unit Secretary Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Division 3200 is a 25 bed unit that provides care to oncology patients who are hospitalized for cancer treatment and symptom management, including support for Chemotherapy, pain management, support of radiation, intervention of blood products, etc. The care is moderate to high acuity. Care includes high complexity interventions. Care is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team including oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, coordinators, social workers, spiritual care, pharmacy and psycho-social support. Preferred Qualifications The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. Responsibilities Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support. Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail. Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
