Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with our core values: Accountability, Best Practices, Compassion and Synergy. The employee shall support Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

The Cafeteria Food Service Worker/cashier performs a variety of tasks pertaining to cafeteria operations,

Including: cash handling reconciliation and operating the cash register, operating the grill, operating food service equipment, serving customers, maintaining sanitation levels indoor and outdoor.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

5. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills

6. Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment

7. Ability to use the cash register and reconcile the cash for daily deposits to Finance

8. Demonstrates the ability to apply infection control policies/procedures for safe food handling

9. Follow HACCP guidelines Title 22, and JCAHO regulations for food storage, safety and sanitation.

10. Ability to be at work and be on time

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately

• Speaks and understand English clearly

• Food Service and/or cash register experience preferred

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
