Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and 2 years of ICU/stepdown experience.

Job Details

• Work in a 12-bed ICU within a hospital setting,
• 1:4 patient ratios,
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a, with holiday rotation,
• Required to work every other weekend,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, with agency staff floated first,
• Epic charting system used (experience preferred),

Job Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start,
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only),
• NIHSS certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or stepdown experience required,
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and renal cases,
• Skills such as arterial line management, ventilator care, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration are utilized,
• Royal blue scrubs required,
• Free parking available,
• First-time travelers considered if they have prior ICU and/or stepdown experience,
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted,
• Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed,
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and is subject to facility approval,
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
