Shift: 12H Nights

Hours/Week: 36 hours

Employment Type: Contract (W-2)

Required Licenses/Certs: Louisiana RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience: 2+ years in acute care; Telemetry experience preferred

Patient Types: Medical/Surgical and telemetry patients, including post-op, sepsis, CHF, COPD, COVID, and more

Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6 (night shift); CNA: 2 per shift

Floats within hospital units as needed

Pay Rate: $46.90/hour (additional differentials may apply)

Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting

Monitor patient vital signs and interpret EKGs, passing a competency exam prior to start

Administer medications and treatments, including wound management, JP drains, and pain control

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists

Document patient care accurately in EMR (Meditech Expanse)

Respond to clinical emergencies and support patient recovery

Support float to different Med/Surg units as needed, maintaining flexibility

Valid Louisiana RN license

2+ years of acute care RN experience, with telemetry background preferred

Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications

Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Ability to float across units and adapt to changing patient needs
