What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a stepped-down, acute care setting including stepdown units and med-surg floors
• Manage patients with complex conditions such as CVA/TIA, post-surgical spinal cases, AFIB/RVR, DKA, and COPD
• Monitor and respond to cardiac telemetry and other vital signs
• Administer titratable and routine medications, including insulin, Heparin, Cardizem, etc. (manager approval required for titratables)
• Support procedures such as chest tubes, tracheostomies, and lumbar drains (preferred skill set)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, PT/OT, and phlebotomy staff
• Document effectively in EMR (Meditech Expanse) and manage medication dispensing with Pyxis

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute or medical-surgical settings
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts consistently and adapt to unit protocols
