Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2090 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health and no current placement allowed at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Dysrhythmia interpretation required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: CAPD preferred.

Required Credentials: EKG exam required at orientation.

Preferred Credentials: Critical Care Course preferred.

Special Requests: Weekend-only block schedule requests may be accommodated.

Unit Details: Mixed surgical unit caring for general surgery, trauma, and minor orthopedic cases, including post-op and post-trauma patients. Adult and geriatric patient population. Average LOS: ~4 days; day shift can expect 1–2 patient turnover per nurse per day. Uses Alaris pumps, Hercules beds, BiPAP, CPAP, and Kangaroo pumps; cares for patients with trachs and chest tubes. Support staff includes monitor techs, phlebotomy, 1–2 CNAs per shift, sitters, charge nurses, and a rapid response team.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and major holidays required. 48-hour contract may be considered.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to other Med/Surg units as needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
