Job Summary: Under the direction of the BIM Manager, the BIM Coordinator supports the work of the preconstruction department by planning, designing, and using the most up-to-date BIM software. Responsibilities The ability to work in a variety of large-scale construction environments including commercial, educational, and healthcare projects. Learn and demonstrate proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, Assemble, etc. Work with the BIM Manager, clients, design teams, and subcontractors during pre-construction and construction phases to help coordinate and build 3D models, 2D shop drawings, as-built and submittal drawings. Required Skills/Abilities Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation. Ability to read and understand plan drawings, specs, and other project requirements. Demonstrated ability to work in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, Assemble). Strong collaborative and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively. The ability to balance multiple projects at a time. Strong attention to detail. Strong proficiency in visualizing the constructability of various projects. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Virtual Design and Construction, Construction Management, or related field 1 to 3 years’ experience in BIM-focused work. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel to various locations for company affairs.
