Registered Nurse RN, Home Health - Full Time, Part Time

Job Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process, technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Mary’s Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular OR RN to join our surgical services team. As a CVOR nurse, you will deliver safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure seamless operations and exceptional outcomes. Shift 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with variable days and call. Some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Responsibilities Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind. Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission. Evaluate ongoing patient status, respond to changes, and implement appropriate interventions. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during intraoperative and postoperative care. Use monitors and equipment to assess patient needs quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies. Operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and document patient care in the electronic system. Perform manual dexterity tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying supplies and patients, and moving heavy equipment. Navigate crowded, busy rooms while ensuring patient safety and equipment organization. Communicate verbally with patients, families, and providers, hearing and understanding alarms, needs, and issues accurately. Qualifications Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, with the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service). At least one year of cardiovascular or surgical nursing experience in a comparable acute care setting (highly preferred). Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team and adapt to evolving patient needs. Physical ability to ambulate patients, lift, and use hand-held instruments.
