Rotating Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Flexi/PRN Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy in Charlottesville, VA. Location: Charlottesville, VA - Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Status: Flexi / PRN (1- 8 hours shift per month with opportunities to pick up additional hours) Hours: 9am-5pm M-F The Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.

- Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
- Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
- Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
- Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
- Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
- Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

- A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
- CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)
- Previous Pharmacy Tech Experience (Required)
