Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Whitsett, NC 27377
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Possibility of Permanent)
Pay: $20–$22/hour on W2
Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM / Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM–12:00 Midnight
Job Summary:
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support to production operations teams. The role will troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user issues, resolve support tickets, and minimize production disruptions while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Perform break/fix repairs for laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and printers.
- Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office, antivirus tools, and software installations.
- Troubleshoot basic Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN connectivity issues.
- Use tools such as Remote Desktop, Task Manager, Command Prompt/PowerShell, Task Scheduler, and Computer Management.
- Create, manage, update, and close IT support tickets.
- Clearly communicate technical solutions to non-technical users.
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Development, and leadership teams to resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Computer Science/IT or CompTIA A+/Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
- 1–3+ years of IT/PC support experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Customer-focused, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
