Responsibilities Responsible for performing EEG procedures Instructs and prepares patients for EEG tests Performs EEG procedures and processes studies Provides necessary readings and makes a record of readings for review Maintains EEG equipment and supplies Performs intraoperative nerve monitoring Completes documenting and charging responsibilities Provides operating room monitoring and technical support to technicians Report results to the physician for interpretation in the OR Requirements High school diploma required Associate degree recommended BLS certification EEG noncertified (Preferred) EMG noncertified (Preferred) 1 year EEG experience preferred EMG experience preferred Intermittent hand manipulation required Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in performing EEG procedures and intraoperative nerve monitoring while providing technical support in the operating room.
