Job Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to align estimates with project goals.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates in Buffalo.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors in the Property industry.

A successful MEP Estimator should have:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret building and construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Local to Buffalo, Albany, or Syracuse NY
