XiO Cloud is Crestron's enterprise-grade, cloud-based web application that enables IT administrators and AV professionals to remotely monitor, manage, and configure IoT edge devices deployed across commercial environments worldwide.This Single-Page Application Development Co-op provides the opportunity to contribute to the XiO Cloud user experience while gaining hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies, responsive web design, and enterprise software development practices. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, curious, and enjoys working in a collaborative engineering environment.Through this Co-op experience, students will gain exposure to software development best practices, frontend application architecture, debugging and troubleshooting techniques, testing and automation processes, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.RESPONSIBILITIESWith guidance from a dedicated mentor, perform the following tasks with increasing responsibility and independence throughout the Co-op experience:Contribute to well-defined projects supporting the XiO Cloud platform.Assist in developing and enhancing Angular components, services, and modules within the XiO Cloud single-page application.Collaborate with engineers to implement responsive and accessible user interface designs.Support integration efforts between frontend applications and backend APIs.Participate in software testing, debugging, and maintenance activities.Assist in developing and executing unit and integration tests to support software quality and reliability.Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, team discussions, and technical design conversations.Document technical findings, implementation details, and test results to support team knowledge sharing.QUALIFICATIONSGeneral RequirementsMust be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.Technical SkillsStrong programming fundamentals and understanding of software development concepts.Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.Familiarity with version control using Git.Coursework, project experience, or familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.Familiarity with Angular, React, Vue, or another modern frontend framework.Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive Web-Design, and user interface development.Exposure to REST APIs and client-server application architecture.Interest in user experience, accessibility, or design systems is a plus.Other SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Responsible, self-motivated, and eager to learn.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and development practices.JobFamilyEngineeringJobFunctionSeasonal EmployeePayTypeHourlyEmploymentIndicatorTemporaryEducationLevelSome CollegePositionEffectiveStartUTC2026-08-10T00:00:00PositionEffectiveEndUTC2027-03-05T00:00:00
