Job Details Job Title: Mother-Baby Registered Nurse (Postpartum RN) – Travel Nursing Job Setting: Inpatient postpartum / Mother-Baby unit Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 - $1,820 Start Date: September 8, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Shifts Per Week: 3 Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours Per Week: 36 Location: Columbus, OH 43210 — a lively Ohio healthcare community with convenient amenities, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions Orientation: 36 hours Float Requirement: May float to similar-acuity units within the organization as needed Weekend Coverage: Required Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience BLS certification required NRP certification required IV start skills and labor & delivery experience EPIC experience preferred Telemetry interpretation required; candidate must pass an EKG exam prior to start Experience with postpartum care and couplet care strongly preferred Must be comfortable with family-centered care and newborn education Previous travel nursing experience preferred Responsibilities Provide high-quality postpartum nursing care to mothers, newborns, and couplets Assess maternal and newborn needs, including care following vaginal and cesarean deliveries Perform newborn assessments and support healthy infant transition Educate parents on feeding, newborn care, discharge instructions, and postpartum recovery Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including IV antibiotics and postpartum-related treatments Monitor for postpartum complications such as hemorrhage, hypertension, and readmission concerns Support breastfeeding, breast pumping, and newborn thermoregulation Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Float to similar units when needed based on patient acuity and staffing needs Promote a safe, supportive, and compassionate experience for mothers and infants Apply now to join this rewarding Mother-Baby Registered Nurse travel opportunity in Columbus, OH.
