This position is with a globally recognized Aerospace and Electronics manufacturer that designs and produces mission-critical systems for commercial and defense aviation. Their Burbank operation is growing, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, with multiple manufacturing areas under one roof and a supportive, knowledgeable purchasing team.

In this Senior Buyer role, you'll manage purchasing and material requirements for production components, partner closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams, and help keep critical parts moving as priorities change. You'll own supplier performance, shortages, inventory actions, quoting, negotiations, and continuous improvement efforts that directly support production.

Senior Buyer Duties:

• Manage purchasing and material requirements for production components, coordinating closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers
• Monitor supplier orders, shortages, delivery performance, quality issues, and changing production priorities to keep material flowing
• Obtain quotes, negotiate purchase orders, and pursue cost reduction opportunities with suppliers
• Develop inventory action plans and support replenishment methods such as Kanban to improve material availability and inventory turns
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve supplier and material issues and support continuous improvement initiatives

Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift

Pay:

• $99,000 – $122,000/yr.
• Annual bonus potential

Senior Buyer Requirements:

• 5+ years of buying or procurement experience supporting aerospace manufacturing
• Experience purchasing technical manufacturing commodities such as machined parts, castings, electronic components, circuit card assembly, PCBs, or similar components
• Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, material requirements, shortages, and production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and resolving delivery, quality, or material issues
