Job Description

The Onboarding Verification Specialist is responsible for coordinating and completing pre-employment screenings, and employment verifications for newly hired employees. This role ensures that all onboarding requirements are met in a timely and compliant manner while supporting a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-employment screenings, including employment verification, education verification, checks, and other required clearances.
• Review and validate screening results to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Hiring Managers to facilitate a seamless onboarding and hiring process.
• Communicate directly with candidates regarding outstanding requirements, missing documentation, and onboarding status updates.
• Track and monitor onboarding progress to ensure completion of all pre-employment requirements within established timelines.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during the verification process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within HRIS systems and onboarding platforms.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive candidate and employee information.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
• Assist with process improvements designed to enhance onboarding efficiency, compliance, and the overall candidate experience.
• Perform additional administrative and onboarding-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The work environment is a blend of remote and in-office settings, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, totaling a 35-hour work week. The position requires three days in the office in Peekskill and two days working remotely. Initial weeks may require being fully in the office for up to three weeks to become acclimated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peekskill, NY.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.85/hr.
