GCP Architect

The GCP Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires deep expertise in GCP administration, Terraform, cloud architecture, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will lead cloud modernization initiatives, implement infrastructure as code, ensure security and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform. Design reusable Terraform modules and manage state, workspaces, and deployment strategies. Administer GCP environments, including organization setup, project structure, billing configuration, and governance policies. Design and implement cloud networking, compute, storage, and managed service architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise cloud solutions and digital platforms. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, compliance controls, and audit logging. Develop and integrate Terraform deployments with CI/CD pipelines. Configure and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions. Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy and on-premises workloads to GCP. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement proactive performance improvements. Evaluate emerging GCP services and Terraform capabilities to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency. Document cloud architecture, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience designing and supporting production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Strong expertise in GCP administration, including organization management, project configuration, billing, and governance. Advanced experience with Terraform, including module development, state management, workspaces, and Infrastructure as Code best practices. Experience designing cloud networking, compute, storage, and managed services on GCP. Experience integrating Terraform deployments with CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, compliance, and audit logging. Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions within GCP environments. Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in hybrid and cross-functional environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing enterprise-scale cloud platforms. Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability. Familiarity with emerging GCP services and Terraform ecosystem enhancements. Experience with enterprise DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
