Journeyman Electrician

New-Tex Electric & Automation, LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in oilfield and industrial environments. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safe work practices, and the ability to complete field work efficiently and to a high standard. Primary Responsibilities Position Summary New-Tex Electric & Automation, LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in oilfield and industrial environments. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safe work practices, and the ability to complete field work efficiently and to a high standard. Primary Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications Layout and install conduit, supports, junction boxes, panels, and related electrical components Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble conduit as required for each installation Pull, route, terminate, label, and test electrical wiring and cable Install and connect motors, controls, instrumentation, and power equipment Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs or corrective action Perform testing to verify electrical systems are operating properly and safely Work with both low- and high-voltage systems as required Determine the tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete assigned work Safely operate electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Work with and provide guidance to apprentices and helpers when needed Coordinate with supervisors and other crew members to complete work safely and on schedule Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with company and customer safety requirements Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license Previous oil and gas or industrial electrical experience preferred Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safe work practices Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Valid driver's license Dependable attendance and reliable work ethic Job Requirements Must have the necessary hand tools for the position Ability to perform the physical duties associated with field electrical work Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated locations when necessary Ability to travel to different job locations as required Availability for overtime and weekends when required by project schedules Must follow all company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements Compensation & Growth Pay is based on experience and qualifications, with overtime opportunities available depending on project needs.
