As a Plumbing Estimator you will be expected to prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. What Will You Be Earning? Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Compensation is determined by hiring managers and is based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, and the specific demands of the role. What Are We Looking For? Prepare accurate and detailed plumbing estimates and proposals for commercial and/or industrial projects. Attend pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and client meetings as required. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, drawings, and related documents to develop comprehensive estimates. Develop project-specific estimating strategies and approach plans. Perform material takeoffs, labor analysis, and labor factor adjustments using estimating software. Build and maintain estimating assemblies and databases within estimating systems. Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, clients, and internal teams throughout the bidding process. Solicit and evaluate competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring all project requirements and addenda are communicated accurately. Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and industry partners. Provide guidance and support in the training and development of team members. Requirements What Do We Want To See? Minimum of 8 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience, or 5 years of experience as a Plumbing Foreman in commercial construction. Proficiency with plumbing estimating software; experience with FastEST/FastPIPE is preferred. Strong ability to review plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential conflicts. Experience developing accurate estimates at various stages of project design and completion. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards. Skilled in performing detailed material and labor takeoffs for all plumbing systems associated with a project. Ability to prepare organized, accurate quantity takeoffs and enter data efficiently into estimating software. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) when needed. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates and meet project deadlines.
