Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university First Aid/CPR Certified Valid Arizona Driver's License. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive background check. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Arizona academic standards, curriculum, instructional strategies, assessment practices, and classroom management techniques. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices. Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans that address diverse learning needs. Ability to use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction. Ability to establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school administration. Ability to maintain accurate student records and complete required reports and documentation. Ability to use instructional technology and standard office equipment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school environment. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and professionalism. Job Summary: The Elementary Teacher is responsible for providing effective, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction to elementary students. The teacher plans and delivers standards-based lessons, monitors student progress, maintains a positive learning environment, and supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with Arizona academic standards. Prepare, submit, and maintain timely, standards-aligned lesson plans Provide differentiated instruction to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students. Establish and maintain effective classroom management procedures and a positive learning environment. Use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to monitor student achievement and guide instruction. Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, progress, and other required documentation. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns. Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, specialists, and administration to support student achievement. Participate in professional development activities and implement effective instructional practices. Support school-wide programs, activities, events, and initiatives. Follow all school policies, procedures, state requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of student and school information. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or administration. PROBATIONARY PERIOD: Newly appointed employees will be subject to an initial ninety (90) calendar day probation period. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
