Overview
MRI Technologist needed for a travel assignment in a hospital setting in Berlin, Vermont. Specialty: MRI. Start date: 09/28/2026. Duration: 13-16 weeks. Weekly pay: $3,178-$3,418. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts. This backfill assignment requires prior teaching-facility experience and familiarity with Epic and radiology workflow. The role offers patient-centered MRI procedures with potential cross-training within radiology, including CT, fluoroscopy, and OR support, and it includes on-call requirements.

Key Highlights

- On-call requirements: MRI on-call 1 night per week (10:00 pm–6:00 am); every 4th or 5th weekend; holidays on-call

Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI examinations according to department protocols, ensuring high-quality images and strict patient safety measures
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications, obtain consent as needed, and monitor for adverse events during and after scanning
- Administer IV gadolinium contrast injections per protocol and monitor patients for any reactions or complications
- Position patients, select appropriate imaging sequences, optimize imaging parameters, and maintain equipment safety standards
- Document procedures and patient information in Epic; communicate results and any protocol considerations with radiologists and the care team
- Float within radiology as needed (including CT, fluoroscopy, and OR environments) and support cross-coverage when staffing requires it

Requirements
- ARRT MRI Certification (or MRI Certification verification/equivalency) required
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Teaching-facility experience required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- CT/X-ray trained with the ability to float within radiology to support cross-coverage
