Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with at least 2 years of experience and ACLS/BLS certifications for a day shift position requiring on-call availability. Details Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM On-call requirement of 21-28 days within a 6 week cycle based on department needs Epic EMR experience required for consideration Requirements Active RN license (TX or Compact) required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required Epic charting system experience required Skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and left/right heart catheterization Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker insertion, cardioversion, and baseline measurements Proficient in vascular closure systems, sheath removal/monitoring, and topical hemostasis Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG Experience with central line insertion/management, PICC lines, and implanted ports care and maintenance Additional Information Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Circulate and scrub for cardiac cath lab and EP procedures as needed Monitor patients undergoing procedural sedation and manage emergency medications when required Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions using appropriate PPE Utilize radiation and laser safety protocols during laser-assisted procedures These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
