Job Overview

The individual selected for this role will be part of a multidisciplinary laboratory, engaging with various service lines. Responsibilities encompass a range of procedures, including:

• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
• ICD and pacemaker procedures
• Electrophysiology and ablation procedures
• Diagnostic and interventional peripheral procedures
• Interventional and diagnostic bronchoscopy procedures
• Bone marrow harvest procedures

This role involves assisting with all invasive procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and the organization’s policies and standards.

• Conduct various patient care tasks for adults, including initiating IVs, monitoring EKGs, assessing cardiac outputs, and preparing and draping patients.
• Support invasive procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterization, ICD and pacemaker placements, electrophysiology and ablation, as well as peripheral interventions and bronchoscopy.
• Perform quality control checks on X-ray equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures, including the removal of arterial and venous sheaths post-procedure while applying appropriate manual pressure.
• Record and analyze hemodynamic data utilizing the Mac Lab monitoring system.
• Prepare all necessary equipment, set up the procedure area, and ensure the room is cleaned for subsequent procedures.
• Engage in orientation training and in-service sessions for cardiovascular technologists and other departmental staff.
• Help manage inventory and restock supplies and equipment for the catheterization lab.
• Demonstrate exemplary guest and staff relations in all interactions.
• Take on additional duties and responsibilities relevant to the position as needed. The responsibilities listed above provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive.

• Preferred: Associate’s degree
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
• Required: EKG/hemodynamic monitoring experience

• Required: 1-2 years of experience, with a minimum of 1 year in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology
• Preferred: Additional experience in electrophysiology and specific peripheral interventions

• Required: RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or
• Required: RCVT - Registered Cardiovascular Technologist or
• Required: ARRT (ARRT-CI or ARRT-VI) or
• Required: RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
• Required: BLS - Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Required: ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification from the AHA or American Red Cross

• Up-to-date knowledge of catheterization lab procedures, cardiology medications, EKG monitoring, and IV initiation. Must be capable of responding swiftly and maintaining composure in high-pressure and emergency situations.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 per hour.
