Wastewater OperatorThe Town of Grafton seeks a highly motivated individual to join its team as a Wastewater Operator. The position requires participation in the operation and maintenance of the town's 2.4 mgd. wastewater treatment facility and collection system including 15 remote pump stations.Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Assisting in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plantTransporting sludge to the Upper Blackstone facilityCollecting daily samples and performing lab analysisPump station monitoringPerformance of diagnostic testingConduct inflow and infiltration inspectionAttending continuing education seminars to stay up to date of safety, regulations, and other best practices.Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, or experience. A valid class-B CDL driver's license is preferred. The successful applicants must have a Grade 4-M Wastewater Operator's License, or be able to obtain one within six months of being hired.Applicants must be able to work in a self-directed environment and participate in a rotating on-call schedule of nights, weekends, and holidays.
