Robotic Technician

Robot TechnicianJoin a specialized robot testing department where you will start up, test, debug, and troubleshoot industrial robots in both non-fluid and fluid testing areas. You will work with teach pendants, mechanical and electrical systems, and paint fluid systems to ensure each robot operates safely, accurately, and reliably before deployment.Job ResponsibilitiesAssemble and prepare robots in non-fluid testing areas for initial start-up and evaluationUse a teach pendant to start up robots and run them through defined test proceduresPerform mechanical and electrical checks to verify that all systems function correctly before paint lines are attachedDebug and troubleshoot robot issues during testing, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actionsMove robots from non-fluid testing to fluid testing areas once they pass initial mechanical and electrical checksInstall paint tubes, fluid lines, and attachments on robots in the fluid testing areaTest robots for correct paint spraying performance and ensure all mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems operate together as intendedWork within robotic cells to conduct start-up, testing, and verification activities safely and efficientlyPerform troubleshooting on paint robots, including fluid systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsEssential SkillsHands-on experience with industrial robots, including start-up, testing, and troubleshootingAbility to operate a teach pendant to control and program robot movements during testingStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude for evaluating robot components and systemsExperience working in or around robotic cells and understanding of safe operating practicesAbility to troubleshoot paint robots, including fluid systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsExposure to electrical and mechanical robot systems for at least 1 yearExperience with robot start up and troubleshooting for at least 1 yearBackground as a machine tool electrician or similar role supporting robotic equipment is highly valuedJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
