Automation Technician

Automaton TechnicianThe Automaton Technician will work as part of a cross functional team along side manufacturing to ensure that our ABB robotic trim cells are set up for new projects in a timely manner, as well as looking for improvements on existing trim cells. This role will be on site during production hours and available to make adjustments, and problem solve on the fly. This role also involves developing procedural documentation, as well as designing and building mechanical fixturing and tooling. All activities are performed in coordination with the operation of rotary Thermoforming equipment.Responsibilities:Write and modify robot programsDesign and build robot cell fixturingDesign and build EOATSimulate robot systemsDevelop technical documentationMake necessary changes to achieve cycle timeDocument all changes to robot programs, fixtures and EOATsProgram PLC's, robots, motion systems, and vision systemsSet up communication with the PLC and peripheral equipmentRobot zone setupRobot I/O ConfigurationOther duties as assignedQualifications and Skills:Associates or Bachelor of Science in related field, or equivalent years of work experienceAble to work independently on projects and as a member of a teamGreat motivational and people skillsMust be self-motivatedMust be willing to learn new thingsAbility to think outside the boxAbility to read and understand Electrical and Pneumatic printsExposure to ABB industrial robots, Rockwell/AB controls, HMI's sensors, and vision systemsTroubleshooting experience with PLC programsProficient with Robotic Path TeachingExtensive experience with Robot Studio and SolidWorks greatly preferredWorks well with a variety of different people from diverse backgroundsExceptional communication skills, both oral and writtenMotivated and passionate about working with people and overcoming challengesBenefits:Starting Pay: $60,000 – 80,000.00 (based on experience)Medical, Dental Reimbursement, Vision, Life Insurance, and more offered after 30 days401K with Company match 50% up to 6%Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, Sick Days, etc.Career Advancement Opportunities
