Location Town of, Newark, NJ, 07102, United States Base Pay $25.00 - $25.00 / Hour Required Degree High school Manage Others No Description Anchor Behavioral Solutions is looking for a Full-time Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist Floater with a passion for working with children and youth facing developmental and moderate-to-severe behavioral challenges. ABA Therapists are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Under the supervision of a BCBA, ABA Therapists may also collect data and conduct certain assessments, such as stimulus preference assessments. They are not responsible for designing interventions, conducting in-depth assessments, or developing treatment plans.

POSITION: Fulltime ABA Therapist LOCATION: Willing to travel to Essex, Union, and Passaic County WORK SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 10 am - 6 pm

PLEASE NOTE

A suitable Floater must have flexible, open availability, as hours can possibly be altered at a moment's notice. Anchor Behavioral Solutions guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, so long as candidates keep their availability as follows: Monday-Friday: 10 am - 6 pm Floaters must also be able to flex start and end time of availability by 2 hours with advance notice. Floaters must be willing and able to travel within a 45-minute radius when needed. The Floater must be willing to provide services in-home, at our clinic locations, and at applicable contracted school locations. The Floater must be willing to travel to the following counties: Essex, Union & Passaic. The Floater must have a working vehicle, up-to-date vehicle documents and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities Provide direct behavioral services to clients in both individual and group sessions Implement skill acquisition programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior Analysis (VBA) Complete weekly program updates and maintain accurate client program records Collaborate with BCBAs and/or BCaBAs to carry out individualized treatment plans Collect and graph data as instructed using Rethink Behavioral Health software Maintain respect, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and participate in relevant professional networks to maintain technical knowledge Ensure client safety and respond appropriately during emergency or crisis situations Perform other duties as assigned by the BCBA or agency administrators. Knowledge of: Ethics, laws, and regulations governing behavior interventions Developmental processes of children, adolescents, and adults Interpersonal skills for crisis management Abilities to Assess situations and make appropriate decisions Understand behavioral scenarios and respond ethically Analyze and respond to crisis situations Communicate effectively with agency staff, clients, and outside professionals Perform clerical duties, maintain accurate records, and generate reports Work independently within established guidelines Use behavioral software for documentation and planning Accept feedback and guidance for ongoing professional development Collaborate respectfully with a diverse, interdisciplinary team Supervise and ensure client well-being during treatment sessions Location Various locations throughout Essex, Union & Passaic Counties Position Type Full-Time (guarantee of 30 hours/week) Work Environment & Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements General Requirements Experience working with children ages 2–12 Ability to carry and/or lift at least 30 pounds Ability to assume and maintain a variety of physical postures, including: Kneeling Crouching Standing (All for extended periods of time) Must be able to attend to basic care needs such as: Feeding Toileting Diapering Dressing Visual acuity required to read and comprehend written materials via: Computer Electronic devices Paper-based communication Must be able to work various shifts, including availability up to 6:00 PM Education, Training, and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred Additional certifications preferred (in the State of New Jersey) as a: Special Education Teacher School Social Worker Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with special needs Must possess basic technology skills and have consistent access to a mobile device or computer for job-related tasks Other Requirements Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history background check Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
