To Apply for this Job Click HereJob ID#: 41696Director of Procurement & Estimating Up to $150K + bonus | Fully in officeNW HoustonProcurement & Vendor ManagementBuild procurement strategies that maximize cost, quality, and valueSource, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure best pricing and termsDevelop rebate programs, freight agreements, extended terms, and strategic partnershipsCentralize procurement and maintain accurate pricing data; monitor market trends, pricing, and availabilityPO & Financial ControlsOversee PO review and approval; ensure alignment with budgets and standardsReview deposits for compliance; partner with Accounting/AP on invoice discrepanciesEstablish controls that improve purchasing efficiency and accountabilityLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Procurement and Estimating ManagersSet KPIs and productivity metrics; build a culture of accountability and growthSupport hiring, performance, development, and retentionGrow Managers into independent, effective leadersOperational ExcellenceDirect performance of both departments; drive process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and profitabilityEvaluate procedures, workflows, and systems; partner with Operations, Sales, Accounting, HR, IT, and Executive LeadershipDeliver actionable reporting on performance and opportunitiesQualificationsBachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or related field10+ years procurement experience, ideally in (multifamily) construction5+ years leadership experienceProven vendor negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier management resultsStrong grasp of procurement, estimating, budgeting, and construction opsERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics preferredStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsIndependent, composed under pressure, with high integrity and attention to detailSuccess Looks LikeLower costs and better supplier termsStronger vendor relationships and purchasing leverageImproved PO, invoice, and budget accuracyHigher productivity across both departmentsStrong, accountable teams and scalable, profitable processesA trusted strategic partner to Operations and Executive LeadershipFounded in 1998, Professional Alternatives is an award-winning recruiting and staffing agency that utilizes technology and relationships to deliver top talent.
