Job Summary:

The Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech is responsible for supporting pediatric and adult interventional procedures within a busy Level I Trauma Center. The role involves providing high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform diagnostic and therapeutic imaging in pediatric and adult cath lab procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians during catheterizations, biopsies, balloon insertions, stent placements, and valve procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including radiation safety measures.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures accurately using EPIC or similar charting systems.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety and emergency response protocols, including participation in storm teams during hurricane season.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least 1 year of recent cath lab experience, preferably in pediatric settings.
  
  
• 
  Hold national certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association preferred).
  
  
• 
  Obtain and maintain radiation badge per facility requirements.
  
  
• 
  Credentialed with CCI (RCIS/RCES) or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA.
  
  
• 
  Valid South Carolina RN license or pending license with proof of application.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting system.
