Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities Maintain the ability to perform all tasks within the plasma center, including production employee duties Supervise donor flow, donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal procedures Attend required training sessions and staff meetings Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records Maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition and keep equipment in good working order Submit timely and accurate reports to the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager Assist in controlling center donor funds Train new employees and retrain current employees Communicate with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality Build rapport with donors to support customer satisfaction and long-term donation Report unsafe situations or conditions to area lead, supervisor, or manager May be trained to repair plasma center equipment Assist the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager with tasks supporting company objectives Requirements High school diploma or GED Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer Typically requires 4 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties Demonstrated proficiency in handling difficult situations Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms Ability to use personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear Ability to stand for up to 4 to 6 hours per day and sit for 1 to 2 hours per day Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, and perform frequent hand and foot movements Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. Essential hearing acuity Color perception/discrimination and correctable near and far vision Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written instructions Ability to work independently and under oral or written guidance Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing while ensuring compliance with FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, and cGMP regulations.
