Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and oversee the planning, development, and execution of engineering initiatives. This leader will drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, ensure technical excellence, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality products and solutions that support the company's long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with exceptional technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Establish engineering goals, priorities, and performance standards aligned with business objectives.
• Manage engineering budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of engineering projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, processes, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor engineering metrics and provide regular performance reports to executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Civil, or related discipline).
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Proven experience leading large engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing budgets and strategic planning.
• Proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
