Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Pontiac, Michigan. The physician will provide outpatient hematology and oncology care, manage patients with blood disorders and cancer, and participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Provide ongoing outpatient treatment and follow-up care.

Develop individualized treatment and management plans.

Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.

Provide clinic-related on-call coverage as required.

Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Schedule and Practice Details

Clinic Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM4:30 PM

Patient Volume: Approximately 1520 patients per day

On-Call Requirements: Clinic call only; optional night call and weekend 24-hour call may be available

EMR: Cerner

Patient Population: 100% adult outpatient

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Hematology/Oncology

Qualifications

MD or DO degree.

Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology.

Active Michigan medical license.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
