The Medical Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting a specialty clinic by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth front office operations. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position operates within a medium-sized team of 6-10 members and requires frequent travel to facilitate clinic needs. The coordinator acts as the first point of contact, maintaining excellent communication and customer service standards.

 

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments efficiently
• Register patients and maintain accurate records
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle patient inquiries
• Manage phone communications professionally
• Perform accurate data entry and office organization
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical office administration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Proficient in insurance verification processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with appointment scheduling software
• Good time management and multitasking abilities
• Accurate data entry skills
