Position Overview

As an In-House Counsel Attorney , you will provide legal guidance and strategic support across multiple areas of the organization. You'll play an integral role in helping the company navigate legal and regulatory requirements, manage risk, support litigation efforts, and contribute to sound business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise company leadership on legal, regulatory, and operational matters affecting the business
• Assist with compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
• Support litigation management and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
• Conduct legal research and provide practical business-focused recommendations
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the organization
• Assist in developing internal policies and risk management strategies
• Collaborate closely with existing legal counsel on ongoing projects and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

• Active law license required
• Montana Bar admission preferred, or candidate must have recently sat for the February 2026 Montana Bar Examination
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in business law, regulatory compliance, litigation, or related practice areas is preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, in-person position located in Missoula, Montana
• Flexible scheduling available
• Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits Compensation

• Starting salary of $90,000+ annually
• Compensation is negotiated based on experience and qualifications
