Registered Nurse - PACU

Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type

Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a 40-bed PACU unit maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and standard PACU equipment
Collaborate with PCTs and HUC support staff across assigned pods
Perform and document patient assessments and interventions using Cerner electronic health records
Participate in call shifts as required per 6-week scheduling cycle (minimum 3 call shifts per 6-week block)
Float within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, Pre-Op, and Phase II as needed

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
NIH Stroke Scale experience
Proficiency with ventilator monitoring
Ability to wear required scrub colors: surgical green or navy

Preferred Experience / Skills

Trauma care experience
Pediatric patient care experience
Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
