Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment:

Perform thorough evaluations of patients presenting with chronic pain symptoms. This includes reviewing comprehensive medical histories, conducting detailed physical examinations, and assessing pain using validated tools.

Treatment Planning:

Partner with our medical staff to design individualized pain management plans. This may involve prescribing medications, coordinating physical therapy, or suggesting interventional procedures to provide relief to patients.

Patient Education:

Inform patients about their conditions, treatment modalities, and pain management strategies. Develop educational materials and offer practical advice to empower patients in their self-management efforts.

Procedural Assistance:

Assist in interventional procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, ensuring that patient comfort and safety are prioritized throughout.

Follow-up Care:

Track patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. Provide ongoing support and counseling to patients during follow-ups.

Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic specializes in treating adults suffering from chronic pain due to various conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, back pain, neuropathy, and post-surgical pain. You will work closely with this patient population to address not just their physical pain, but also the emotional and psychological aspects of living with chronic conditions.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.

Valid and current state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey.

Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in pain management or a related field is advantageous.
