About the Position

Job Title: Multimodality Technologist Profession: Multimodality Tech Specialty: Multimodality Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CT and X-ray, including Stroke/Trauma. License: Licensed by the State Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT). Certifications: BLS (AHA Only), ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) Must-Have: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in two imaging modalities. Experience with GE CT/X-ray and Samsung portables is preferred. Description: The Multimodality Technologist performs imaging procedures in two or more disciplines such as X-ray, CT, and others for the diagnosis of disease and injury as requested by a physician. This role involves performing high-quality multimodality procedures according to established protocols in a timely manner. The technologist maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards. An understanding of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring is essential. Proper communication with patients and their families is crucial when explaining procedures. The technologist prepares patients for procedures and ensures adherence to safety requirements. Maintaining equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards is required. The role includes screening individuals for safety before entering the department. The technologist is responsible for obtaining, verifying, and maintaining all relevant patient documentation. Key success factors include the ability to perform high-quality procedures independently, maintaining a calm demeanor under stress, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Demonstrated continued education and knowledge in imaging practices for all age groups is important. Ability to serve as a preceptor and provide quality training to new team members is preferred. The technologist may be required to take call after hours.
