- Perform basic mathematics calculations (pipe slopes, areas, volumes, etc.)
- Detail/develop construction plans
- Maintain uniformity in work products by reading/following CAD Standards and Operating Procedures (standards, conventions, guidelines)
- Review/check plans for accuracy
- Provide an estimate of man hours required to complete CAD projects
- Process engineering calculations and site plan/utility layout with minimal supervision
- Process existing/proposed profiles
- Plot legal descriptions for parcels, easement, and right of ways
- Import survey data into Civil 3D
- Produce boundary, topographical, ALTA and as-built surveys
- Generate stake-out coordinates/plot information for field crew
- High school diploma or minimum of five years of civil engineering/surveying computer aided drafting experience
- Associates degree preferred
- 2+ years of professional CAD experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015, Microstation V8, and GeoPAK preferred
- Ability to use station offset methods to set points
- Solid understanding of metric system with ability to convert between metric and English
- Experience reading/comprehending simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Experience presenting information to in one-on-one and small group settings
