Safety & Training Supervisor

Vivalon is seeking a Safety & Training Supervisor for our Ceres, CA operation. Reporting to the Safety & Training Manager, this role is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision, support, and guidance to bus drivers. The Supervisor will also monitor and investigate operational and administrative issues, and when necessary, develop solutions in response to concerns identified by management, dispatch, contract clients, drivers, passengers, and the general public.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the development and delivery of driver training programs and workshops. This role involves conducting on-road driver monitoring, coaching, and supervision, with a strong focus on regulatory and contractual compliance, safe vehicle operation, and passenger safety and comfort. The Supervisor will also ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, on-time performance, and compliance with route schedules.

Requirements

• Prior transportation operational, safety, and training experience.
• Prior experience developing and delivering training for employees, as well as coaching experience.
• 1-3 years of related experience within the transit industry is desired.
• Knowledge of service areas and contract requirements is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of ADA policies and regulations.
• Knowledge of applicable State and Federal work and passenger bus safety rules & regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be available to travel to San Rafael, CA, once a month

Compensation and Benefits:

• $26 - $34 an hour (depending on experience)
