The facility operates as an inpatient hospital requiring specialized mammography assistance with comprehensive women's imaging capabilities. The department is equipped with MERGE PACs imaging technology and Cerner EMR system integrated with ScribeSystem dictation software to support efficient clinical workflow. The facility maintains high standards for diagnostic accuracy while serving patients requiring breast screenings, diagnostic imaging, DEXA scans, and breast procedures.

The area features the National Mall with notable monuments including the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial, alongside Smithsonian museums such as the National Museum of Natural History with its Bone Hall Exhibit operating from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Visitors can explore the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial, with spring offering cherry blossom viewing opportunities. The district provides access to professional sports, Broadway shows, concerts, and various cultural attractions throughout the year.

Clinicians will provide comprehensive women's imaging services Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM in an inpatient setting. Daily responsibilities include performing screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, DEXA scans, and ABUs while managing approximately 65 screens, 12 DEXAs, and 8-10 ABUs daily or alternatively 32-35 diagnostic cases with 10 procedures. Clinicians will conduct breast procedures throughout the day utilizing MERGE PACs with Cerner EMR and ScribeSystem dictation for efficient case documentation and reporting. Board certification is required for this assignment with no call responsibilities.
