Accounts Receivable Associate

Schedule: Full-time hours (40 hours/week) during our hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Your Role as an Accounts Receivable Associate

The Accounts Receivable Associate plays a critical role in maintaining Acme Tools' financial stability. Responsibilities include:

• Researching credit applications and updating customer accounts
• Preparing and sending monthly account statements and past due reminders to customers
• Responding to sales tax related questions
• Conducting credit investigations for new credit and finance applications
• Completing credit reference requests
• Researching and resolving payment discrepancies
• Reconciling customer disputes and short or skipped payments
• Participating in weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues
• Performing other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Associate Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be tenacious and personable, with excellent customer-service skills
