Medical Assistant

Job description: Experienced Medical Assistant We are seeking a Medical Assistant with 2+ years experience for our busy primary care and walk-in clinic. Our clinic is in need of someone who is dependable, friendly, efficient, and self motivated to join our busy professional environment. Must be a team player, compassionate and patient focused. Must have a sense of urgency. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Taking patients' vitals and health histories Administering injections and breathing treatments Perform medical lab testing and phlebotomy Assisting providers with procedures Communicating messages between patients/provider Delegate and maintain clinic flow Prior authorizations Chart prep for next day & anticipate patients' needs in clinic: EKG, labs, etc. Follow up on: imaging or lab orders without results, referral notes, hospital records, etc Specialists referrals Ordering and stocking supplies/samples EHR experience (Athena experience a plus) Experience in primary care and/or urgent care setting Help cover front office responsibilities Other duties as required Must have M-F availabilty. Expected work hours 8:15-5:00/5:30.
