Job Description: Senseeker is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who will report to the CEO and work directly with the leadership team to manage and grow the HR systems of our portfolio of companies. Operating in a shared-services capacity, this role supports approximately 42 employees across our advanced engineering and machining companies. The ideal candidate enjoys building clever HR systems, supporting technical and business teams, collaborating across departments, and keeping HR operations running smoothly within an agile, high-tech environment.

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in strategic planning, records maintenance, full-cycle recruitment through separation, training, and fostering a positive employee experience. This role also serves as the prime point of contact for our Professional Employer Organization (PEO), ADP. You should be comfortable having your own authority, delegated from the CEO, and adapting to the dynamic needs of a cutting-edge organization.

Required Education & Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of seven (7+) years of related work experience.

Job Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Manage recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
\n
• Prepare market talent compensation analyses and competitive pay reports.
\n
• Ensure the company has data-backed salary ranges through engagement of effective and accurate research subcontractors and sources.
\n
• Execute onboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork, orientation materials, and scheduling training.
\n
• Execute offboarding processes, including paperwork, collection of company property, coordinating the termination of IT access, and arranging final payroll checks with finance.
\n
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee file records, HR databases and company policies.
\n
• Manage benefits enrollment, changes, leaves of absence, and required compliance training.
\n
• Respond to routine employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
\n
• Prepare HR documents such as employment verification letters, reports, and standard forms.
\n
• Ensure and manage compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
\n
• Lead HR projects, audits, and departmental initiatives.
\n
• Provide guidance to leadership for employee relations, training, and compensation strategy.
\n
• Manage and execute employee recognition initiatives and ongoing appreciation programs.
\n
• Work seamlessly in a shared service capacity with our sister companies.

Job Type and Location: Full-time in Santa Barbara, CA, USA

Salary Range: $90,000 to $130,000 annually depending on experience

\n
