Travel RN - Operating Room
American Traveler
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN Position
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of experience and confidence performing open heart and vascular cases. Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting. Unit averages 6 cases per day including open heart surgery and vascular cases. Weekday shift from 06:00-15:30. Weekend call required. 13-week assignment.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA only
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
- Must be able to perform open heart and vascular surgery cases with confidence
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days of start
- Primary source verification of license/certificate required
Additional information:
- Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members while executing urgent or emergent interventions
- Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification per service excellence standards
- Prep operating room and position patients for procedures
- Perform circulating duties efficiently while assisting in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient's family
- Willingly participate in assigned on-call schedule
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
