- Maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers following Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assess the needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the activities of other team members while executing immediate directives in urgent or emergent situations.
- Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
- Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist utilizing service excellence standards.
- Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner, using the appropriate format and forms.
- Utilize health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff while assuming duties within or outside of the sterile field as assigned.
- Prepare the operating room for patients and procedures.
- Contribute to the efficient daily performance of the department.
- Position and prepare patients on the operating table.
- Serve as the communication liaison to family members and the operating team.
- Demonstrate continued professional growth by setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned depending on the assignment setting.
- Participate in assigned call schedules willingly.
- Utilize computer programs effectively to deliver patient care.
- Assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Perform circulating duties with efficiency and speed.
- Must possess a valid nursing license.
- Verification of all required personal health history including MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
- Completion of any necessary drug screens and background checks.
- Driver's license/state ID and Social Security card required.
- Verification of all professional certifications and licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in using health and safety equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
