As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Officer in Columbus, OH , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidance, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public cultural location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout outdoor grounds, walkways, gathering areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, activity areas, and high-traffic spaces for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or suspicious items, providing courteous directions and de-escalation support when needed.
• Support event and public access operations by helping with crowd flow, line organization, restricted area monitoring, and coordination with site representatives and/or first responders during incidents or special activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
